Tattoo Removal (Coming Soon)

Laser tattoo removal is an effective solution for the removal of unwanted tattoos. At Beautilicious I use Laser with 1064 and 532 laser handpieces to treat the tattooed area. The laser handheld device emits powerful pulses of energy to the unwanted tattoo shattering the ink into tiny fragments.

The body’s immune system gradually absorbs the fragmented pigments and discards them, therefore resulting in the fading of the tattoo.

Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest colour to treat. Other colours can be treated with a colour attachment and can take a little longer to remove.

The number of treatments you will need will depend on the age, size and colours of your tattoo. The colour of your skin as well as how deep the tattoo pigment goes, will also affect the removal technique.

For optimal results it is recommended to have 4-10 treatments taken 6-8 weeks apart. Some colours may require more treatments such as aqua blue, metallic colours and florescent colours. Maintenance treatments may be required.

In general this is what you should expect during a laser tattoo removal session;

1 You’ll be given a pair of protective goggles.

2 The technician will test your skin’s reaction to the laser to determine the most effective energy for treatment.

3 The technician uses the laser to pass pulses of intense light through the top layers of your skin that will be absorbed by the tattoo pigment only.

Smaller  tattoos will require fewer pulses while larger ones will need more to remove them, in either case to completely get rid of a tattoo it will take several treatments. After each visit your tattoo will become progressively lighter.

Laser tattoo removal is uncomfortable, but most patients don’t need anaesthesia. Depending on the location of your tattoo, you may want to apply a topical anasthesia cream beforehand.
